SpareFare - Sell Non-Refundable Flight Tickets
Nov 25, 2025 4 Minute Read

SpareFare is the biggest travel marketplace with a secure exchange system you can trust. If you have a flight, a hotel reservation or a holiday you can no longer use, you can sell your booking to other travellers--and you can buy bargain travel deals from people who cannot use theirs.
To increase sales by turning 200K leads into customers, SpareFare engaged our strategy, consulting, digital marketing capabilities to commission a platform that capitalizes on that database to generate/send dynamic email campaigns tailored to the individual level, according to seasonality.
Phase 1
We set the foundation by analyzing their leads database and consolidating them into groups based on region and language, as well as date of last activity on the website. This was followed by creating a pipeline to their continuously updating inventory across their flights, hotels, holidays, and voucher marketplaces.
Our deliverable ensures that when their marketplace receives new inventory, the campaign software is immediately aware and dynamically updates the inventory shown to leads the next time it runs.
Phase 2
We built atop this foundation a group of independent web services to configure and manage the campaigns, as well as crafting bespoke infrastructure to intelligently sequence and transmit messages.
This process involved creating custom integrations to SendGrid, careful testing across all devices, and finally open collaboration with the client on the templates' final designs.
Phase 3
The end result is a fully integrated, autonomous email marketing suite that's a tailored match on technical, branding, and data aspects with their main website, leading to increased sales through the seamless adoption of thousands of opens / clicks during its first day.

Next Step
We're working with our client to expand the deliverability mechanism so it transmits multiple campaigns in parallel instead of intelligently sequencing them to work around Sendgrid's bottleneck, with the endgame of increasing sales and transaction volume by making sure fresh inventory reaches the right inboxes within the hour.
